The Tappit Hen, going down in history
Evoking the atmosphere of the early-17th century, The Tappit Hen is as traditional as they come. With the room split up by wooden dividers, it is a cosy meeting point for the local community and a delightful discovery for visitors. Adding to the historical air is the weekly folk music night every Tuesday as well as a real ale festival once or twice a year. The locals regularly get together to raise money for charity, demonstrating just what a hospitable and generous place it is. It's not all history though: The Tappit Hen also hosts frequent karaoke nights and other contemporary music evenings.
